Mauritius truly has it all, from trail running events and the Nando’s open water swim (frequented by Olympians) to horse riding, hiking, world class fishing, hunting, archery, sailing, kitesurfing, and many more. Whatever you’re into, Mauritius has got it covered.
Mauritius in a few words
With a stable political system and economy, boasting positive growth
for over 25 years combined with a strategic geographical location in the heart of the Indian Ocean,
Mauritius has become a privileged destination for foreign investors.
Mauritius takes pride in being one of the rare multicultural countries where all cultures come together. This harmonious environment allows Mauritius to boast an extremely low crime rate.
Long known for superior Marlin fishing, Mauritius offers sport fishing second to none. Whether you’re popping for Giant Trevelly, jigging for dog tooth Tuna, or simply catching your dinner, Mauritius waters offer the fix you’re looking for.
Trail running
Trails, Trails, and more trails.
From sold out trail running events such as the Ferney Trail that offers 5km, 10km, and 25km distances to the numerous trails in the Black River Park, you can be sure that when trail season hits competition is high.

Mare Longue Trail 11/17km

Expat Cricket
Sunday is cricket day
Tuesday night net practices and a drink after at the Bell End culminates in match day on Sunday,
where the whole family joins in. Expat cricket is taken seriously around here but dont worry there’s
always the B team.
Warm water trade wind sailing at its best. With 15 – 22 knots, sailing in Mauritius can be considered true champagne sailing. Grand Baie Yacht Club, founded in 1941, is the base for the competitive keel boat fleet. Regatta’s include windward leeward racing, round the island races, and multi-stop racing. From hobie-cats to 50 footers it’s easy to see why the sailing here is hard to beat.
More of a cruiser? No problem. With Flat Island, Gabriel Island and Coine Del Mare, all less than an hour’s sail away. Snorkeling and sundowners here don’t get much better. For the more adventurous, why not visit the untouched archipelago of St. Branden. Only a few days sail away, this is true untouched paradise.

I had a terrible experience with the first immigration company I used. They sold me an expensive structure I didn't need and when I questioned it, they treated me terribly. They acted as if I was the one who had done something wrong. The communication from then on took a bullying tone and made us feel alone in a new country. They weren't interested in trying to fix the mess they caused. We've now written off the money, moved to Mauritius Immigration, and couldn't be happier with the advice and service!
Chris, Cape Town, ZA
“No problem at all, I’m happy to write the team a review. So far your guidance and service has been nothing but the best, the whole family is loving Mauritius and we’re saving tax being here, what’s not to like”

“As a family with the future of South Africa seeming uncertain at best we had been considering options like Canada, U.K and Australia. However it wasn’t till we find out Mauritius was an option that we made our decision”
Jaco, Bloemfontein, ZA
